The Skeptical Idealists Initiative
To design and implement an economically viable enterprise model that creates a highly positive impact on its stakeholders and society in general.
It hasimportanthas important sustainability, education and entrepreneurshipcomponentsservingentrepreneurship components serving as basis of its strategy, which may be expressed in many different and hybrid forms of enterprise, such as consultancy, think tank, enterprise incubator, research center,financialcenter, school, financial services and so on and on.
It is not a "for-profit" nor a "non-profit" organisation, it is more likely a "for-benefit/purpose". Positive impact on society and profit MUST work hand in hand with each other, otherwise short and long term sustainability of the initiatives will be seriously compromised.
It will evolve organically, depending on a strong shared purpose and set of values (which will depend on a bit of structured dialogue among the interested people);
1st step: constitution of a "Learning Group", which will explore a variety of topicsbothtopics both at attheoreticaltheoretical and practical levels. These will happen in a variety of forms, such as a learning blog for dialogues, virtual and physical knowledge centers, virtual and physical meetings, practicioning group, etc.
2nd step: as the group develops moreknowledgemore knowledge (in depth theoretical knowledge and practical knowledge on developing and implementing ideas at our surrounding environment) the Learning Group might start acting as a research center, think tank and/or consultancy. In paralel more people take part in the activities, building an strong basis for a school.
3rd step: an hybrid enterprise model encompassing all mentioned above plus any other aligned enterprise, such as an incubators of new initiatives,ainitiatives, a cooperative bank to provide them with financial services and advices, and so on and on.
4th step: we conquer the world and save the planet - ahahaha...maybe it is too muchpretentiousness and affectation to havea detailed fourthstep at this point in time :)
